Welcome to my web site!

This web site is is here to aid in the transition from a Navy nuclear position to a civilian job.   I am currently A Senior Reactor Operator at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, NE.

To tell you a little about myself, I served as a nuclear MM in the US Navy for over 10 years.  I attended Bootcamp and A/NPS in Orlando FL from 91-summer of 92. I then attended Prototype in Ballston Spa, NY (MARF) 7/92-112/92.  After that I went to Nuclear Weld school in Groton, CT and there met my Sub, the USS Maryland 738 in 2/93.  I served on the Blue crew for over 4 yrs reaching E-6 and EWS/EDPO qualifications.  I then went back to NY to prototype in June 97 as an instructor at the S8G prototype.  I served as an EOOW Training Assistant and NTA.   While at prototype I finished a BS in Nuclear Engineering at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute in the fall on 1999.   I exited Naval service in July of 2001 and began my career in Commercial Nuclear Power.  I worked as a System Engineer for 6 months before beginning Direct SRO License Class.  I finished the Licensing class in June of 2003, in fact my 2 year anniversary at Cooper was during the exam week.

This page is designed to give assistance to personnel that are looking for civilian employment. It is geared more for someone interested in getting a job in the nuclear industry, but will also be helpful for people that are not interested in going that route. It has numerous links to employment pages and resume sites on the web so please use these in your search for that perfect job.  My best advice it to find something you like to do and get paid for it. This will make your life much happier.

I also purchased a 2000 Corvette for my gift to myself for getting through the License Class, and I will put some pics if it on here also.

I will continue to update this page with new links etc, as I get time.
